Read more Read more Read more Read more Read more ArcticDry waterproof socks for men , waterproof socks for women and waterproof socks for kids are insulated, thermal hiking socks that use a waterproof membrane, and are very breathable due to the membrane being porous enough to allow water vapour too escape but tight enough to stop water coming in and keeping your feet dry. ArcticDry waterproof breathable socks are similar to neoprene socks but very different. Our socks keep your feet dry and warm and can be used technically as golf socks, skiing socks, sailing socks, fishing socks, hiking socks, snowboarding socks, boot liners and even sock liners for cold weather. ArcticDry weatherproof socks are 100% waterproof and make the perfect snow socks for winter, autumn, alongside the spring and summer too. This is because they are made from:Nylon, Coolmax, Spandex andElastane, meaning they are incredibly lightweight yet durable. ArcticDry waterproof socks can also be used as sand socks for beach volleyball and act in a similar way to goretex socks or neoprene socks, whether you use them in the sand or in mud, the waterproof insulated membrane will protect your feet from the elements, including water, snow, mud, sleet and much more! Our socks can also be used as snow socks for women and snow socks men, especially if you love skiing or snowboarding, they are the perfect addition to your hiking gear, camping gear and general outdoors gear. If you're the owner of a good pair of hunting boots, then getting some arctic dry hunting socks could be a great purchase to your gear. Not just that, but our walking socks can also be used as army socks or referred to as military socks, or even turkey hunting socks, which makes them extremely versatile as a piece of outdoors gear. Spent 6 hours hiking in the pouring rain... these kept my husband and me both warm and dry. (We both had Keen boots, mine were water resistant.) Socks were soft, no crunchy middle. Washed up great. Air dried.Women's size 8, men's 10... fit perfect without binding or slipping down.It works as long as you keep the waterproof part above the water line. As indicated by other reviewers, it won't keep you dry if the water gets ankle deep. It does fit well though. As far as durability--- we shall see.Buen producto para la lluviaFirst off, I like the idea of this product and I'm hoping for a positive outcome. I bought these socks because I have an ankle wound and need to keep it dry when I go swimming. So I bought this on the claim "100% waterproof". Unfortunately my first test failed miserably when I wore them to take a shower. When I got out and took the sock off, it was full of water.I do however feel it may have been more of a case where water seeped in from the top of the sock rather than it not being waterproof. I'm planning on securing the top of the sock with Velcro or something similar to give it a second test. If that works, I will certainly come back to update the stars and comments on this review.Wore these under neoprene shoes and my feet stayed warm and dry throughout the trip!I bought these as I was going away to Bulgaria to frolic in the snow and thought I could try them out whilst cycling too to replace my falling apart overshoes. Turned out to be the best thing I've bought all year! Not only are they completely waterproof but they are so comfortable and warm, without being to bulky to fit inside a trainer or cycling shoe. These worked perfectly in the shoe keeping my feet both dry and warm, and now using them daily on my cycling commute through some perfectly test worthy conditions. I arrive at work with soaking wet shoes but very dry feet. The best part is at the end of the day when I have to put the wet shoes back on to get home, I don't even realise as these socks feel just as comfy as warm on the inside as they do when I first put them on in the morning. Not always the case with my old overshoes! The only downside is due to how they are made drying after washing can be a bit time consuming as I have found when they are dry on the outside I need to turn them inside out to dry the inside, however well worth the time spent for such a good product.Oh how much I love these!!! I bought them to keep my feet warm when I go on my Stand up paddle boarding during winter/colder days. I have been using these for many outings now - simply put them on and then either neoprene shoes or simply old running shoes. I tend to spend in excess of 4 hours out on the water every outing and every time, i get my shoes soaked but they keep my feet dry, no exception, even warm when I have my neoprene shoes on. I was skeptical at first but they do really work - last year I had to cut my outings short due to freezing toes but now I can spend as much time out there as I want.I washed them several times now and they are still waterproof. 100% recommendDog broke one of her hind toes recently and whilst in soft plasters, it cannot get wet so tried a few things like tying poop bags to her foot and then putting a normal sock over them, but it kept falling off, and her foot gets wet. So invested in these waterproof socks. Can't speak to their comfort personally but dog doesn't mind them. They do seem very snug is all I'll say. To date, she's been out in the rain, has walked on wet grass and whilst the outside of the sock is wet, when I remove the sock, the inside is still dry! Although expensive for its purpose, its done what I need it to do.They are comfortable and have a very snug fit. There is a slight rustling when you curl your toes in and out but that is the waterproofing membrane layer in between.Under tap water with decent pressure hitting direct for about 30 seconds.. The result was simple..The outer layer absorbed all the water, the middle membrane was a final barrier to keep away the little spillage and the third layer was completely dry.The outer layer will take time to dry unless you put it on the radiator for a BIT. or AIR DRY them so to not damage the integrity of the material.STILL HAVE TO TEST OUTDOORS IN THE RAIN, BUT UK SEEMS TO HAVE TAKEN A TURN FOR SUMMER RECENTLY SO LETS SEE!5 Stars given because the delivery was swift (as usual with amazon) and the product on the footfront has exceeded my expectations.*TIP: Maybe try to wear a thin pair of normal socks underneath these for added comfort and longer weather durability.I would DEFINATELY recommend these to ANYONE who is tired of coming home with wet soggy FEET.I bought a pair of these for a trip to Greenland. I had a go at the arctic circle trail, and in the second photo I'm cooling my feet in a frozen lake. These socks are frustrating. Purely as socks they're comfortable and surprisingly breathable. I was worried my feet would get stinky, but no. They have a bit of natural spring and my feet never felt cold. Putting them on is awkward - they balloon up when you slide them on your feet - but that's a minor thing. But for hiking over long distances they're neither fish nor fowl. Although the socks are waterproof they can't stop water wicking in from the neck, which is inevitable if you're hiking through a bog. Once the toes got wet it was difficult to dry them out again. I had to keep turning them inside-out, otherwise water pooled inside. Meanwhile my ordinary wool socks got wet, but I could squeeze them out and dry them in the warm. Furthermore they don't strike me as durable enough to work as a a replacement for sandals or grippy socks. My hunch is that over shorter distances, with waterproof boots, they would be the icing on the cake. For longer hikes it might be a better idea to take a couple of pairs of extra socks and perhaps some folding sandals.
