No complaintsFor reference in normally a Large but I received an XL because my calves are big and I struggle to get soccer socks that fit all the way to my knees with shin guards on. These are good for me. They're stretchy but fitted, they don't fall down during my games. They're very thick, they haven't ripped and I've worn/washed them for months. The only issue is that they're a little large in the actual foot. I have a lot of extra material that hangs out from the back of my heel but I suppose that's on me because I should have ordered my regular size, Large. So order your regular size, these are very durable socks.So, I have been playing and coaching soccer for the last 35 years, and I have seen a huge variety of equipment from all major brands, to less known and popular ones, and these Hissox sox fit somewhere around the lower mid-range ones. They provide a very good fit that keeps your shin guards in place without creating discomfort or high-pressure points, the bottom is well cushioned but not overly done, so you don't lose the ball feeling under your toes.I ordered size M, but for my size 9 shoes I feel like I should have gone with size S, they run a bit big, which reflects on the heel cushioned pad being slightly above the correct place. The top elastic is also well fitted and it ends up right at my knee (I am 5 foot 10 inches tall), side note, if you have bigger calves, they might feel a bit tight at the beginning, but over time they will stretch slightly and will become more comfortable.Durability wise, so far, they are holding well after a few games, hopefully they will last at least 10 to 15 games without holes on the toe area, which eventually happens to me after 10 games with all brands. Depending on the weather these sox might be perfect, or they might be a bit hotter due to the synthetic nature of the threads used, like nylon and polyester, now that fall season is here, they are perfect.Hissox sox are priced correctly and come in many different colors to match your team uniforms or just enjoy different ones, I can definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a different alternative to some more popular brands and use them in practices or light pickup games.The overall quality of these socks is good, but they're not quite my favorite. As a soccer sock, they're decent, but I frankly prefer a couple of Adidas options that sell for around $8-$12 per pair, so unless I could get these for at least a few dollars less, I'd probably choose the Adidas socks that I like. I picked these up for my son for baseball since that is also listed as a use for these. Overall, the quality is good for baseball, but since these seem to be more geared towards soccer, they're a bit too long and need to be folded down, which my son doesn't love. Folding socks down is common and part of the design for most soccer socks, but for baseball I'd prefer socks that end below the knee so you don't have to fold them.A specific recommendation regarding these socks is tough. They seem pretty good for soccer, but sell at a similar price point as Adidas soccer socks that I like better. They're a bit long for baseball. The quality is good, so these socks certainly might have applications that they are a great choice for.
