Threads out afer first wash.I have to write a review, when your iid is not slim and she is taller and thicker than the other kids its hard to find a pair of knee high sock that actually reach the knees and they don't slip down or or hug her legs so tight that by the end of the day she has the imprint of the fabric all over her legs. This socks were better than I expected, they aee soft yet firm, they don't fall off her leg and she came back from school two days in a row telling me how much she appreciated these socks. As a plus her feet sweat a lot inside those leather black school shoes and eith this Silky Toes socks her feet were dryer and didn't smell bad at all. I super recommend them, in fact I had to order 3 more sets for ither girls in her school. You hvae to get these ones!I bought the black socks in a small for my 7 year old who wears a size 13/1. They fit perfectly up to her knees and they aren’t too thin or too thick. They are soft material and the design is cute.My daughter goes to a private school where she must wear white socks every day. Keeping them white has been almost impossible. Everyday, she would come home with bands of black across her socks and everyday, I would pre-soak the socks in a stain remover or bleach if they were really bad. It was very time consuming! These bamboo socks go directly into a load of laundry and come out as white as a brand new pair. Plus, they fit her perfectly and don't lose their elasticity. We're going on the second year with a couple of pairs and they still look and feel great. I wish I'd found these years ago!These are pretty awesome sauce, BUT... I took off a star bc they really shrink. Like, a lot. She can still wear them, but when I buy them again I might size up, or just make sure they don't go in the dryer. Probably it would be best to just size up.I love these, just be aware that they do shrink in the dryer.Perfect socks for the school uniform. I dont know how to describe it. They're thick but breathable at the same time. Machine washable but I hang dry mine. Perfect for school shoes.It is so hard to find knee socks that offer xsmall. These socks fit my 4 1/2 daughter perfectly. Very soft and comfortable. She is so excited for her first day of school. Great product, will be purchasing more in the future.
